I'm not 100% certain about this, but I suspect that your Henry Foster is the younger brother of my Joseph Foster. If you check the 1850 Searcy Co. census you'll find them both in the household of Henry Forrester (b. VA about 1790). The name should be Foster. That's how it's written on later censuses. I think your Henry Foster is the same one on the 1880 Pope Co., AR censes. If so, then his wife is Mary A. Reed, daughter of Ralph A. Reed. I'm still trying to figure out just who the parents of Joseph and Henry were. Family lore says the father was named John. The 1850 census shows the mother to be Nancy. I thought he was the John Foster who married Nancy McMurry in Wilson Co., TN in 1836, but another researcher has shown me old documents that cast some doubt on this. I'm still undecided. I haven't a clue who the elder Henry Foster/Forrester is. Do you have anything that might clear up the mystery?
