JAMES T. THORNTON, 90, died Sunday at his Rubidoux home. Born in Dongola, Ark., Mr. Thornton lived in Rubidoux eight years. He also lived in Bloomington and Quail Valley and at Salton Sea for a combined 78 years (all CA). Mr. Thornton was a welder and foreman for Kaiser Steel in Fontana (CA) for thirty years. He is survived by a daughter, Betty Spooner of Riverside; a son, Marsh of Banning; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and four sisters, Dorothy Wood of Sacramento, Tomaline Brown of Oildale, and Myrtle Brown and Maxine Davis, both of Oklahoma. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Green Acres Mortuary in Bloomington.
