Dave Smith and Permelia Fain
Posted by: Luke Smith Date: November 20, 2001 at 03:57:18

I am looking for ANY info on Dave R? Smith and Permelia Jane Fain Smith who are my Grandparents, and resided in Tate, Scott County, AR from about the early 1900's untill the late 1940's and 1950's. I do believe that some of my Aunts and Uncles are still alive and residing around Waldron, AR.

My Father's name is Arthur David Smith, b. 2-21-1923 in Tate, AR. Some of his Brothers and Sisters names are:
Ruby Nell
Annie May
Clyde
Carl
Floyd
Beulah
Tom William (b 1928 d 1942 car-wagon accident.)
I know that Permelia is buried in the Thompson Cemetery, along with Dave Smith's first 2 wives, (Emma and Willie Thompson.) I did not find out if Dave himself was buried there. Heck, I don't even know who my gGparents are. I am stuck. I know that Dave Smith, (Dave R? David A? I've been told my gfathers name was one of those,) came to Scott Co from Texas where he was born in 1874. I believe that Permelia was born in Scott Co.

Any help or links would be appreciated.
I will check this forum on a daily basis, or please email me. kf6emm@hotmail.com
