I am very interested in whatever you can tell me about Jackson L. Byers who married Cora Faye Burton, mentioned in your post, and their children. I believe that Jackons L. Byers (born c. 1908) was a son of Rose Rusha (Rosebud) Smith (1888-after 1939) and Albert L. Byers (c.1884-1934). Rosebud Smith was, I think, a daughter of George Smith and Lessia Lou Edwards (1869-1949). Lessia was a daughter of Andrew Jackson Edwards (c.1833-?) and Rusha Elizabeth King (1837-1894). Rusha Elizabeth King had married twice. Her first husband was Dulin Stearns (c.1836-1863) who was killed in the war. By this marriage, there were two sons, Emsley Valentine Stearns (c.1859-1920) and Dulin Benson Stearns (1863-1962), my great grandfather. As a child growing up, I heard many stories of my grandmother's Aunt Lessie, and though I would try to find out about her descendants. I would be most grateful for any information you could give me.

Best Regards,
