My great grand father was James H. Hicks born 1821 married Martha Jane Gayle (Gale)my grand father was John Byrd Alexander Hicks my father was James Thomas Hicks .They were all from Tenn.Perry,Hickman,and Decatur Co.We are not sure of James H. Hicks Family.
Martha Jane Gayle was the daughter of Matthew Washington Gayle married Martha Sarah Allen born April 20th 1806 I believe she might be a sister to your Elizabeth Allen
born 1808.
Do you have any informtion on Elizabeth Allen parents?
also Gilberts parents and if he is related to James Hicks .I know they did have relatives that went to Ark.
