St Francis and Monroe Counties, as well as Woodruff Co all touch each other, and you might even find your lines in Phillips County. The county lines were different in the 1800s and changed over time. Woodruff County was once part of Jackson County.
I had a line of ANDERS with marriages to BUTLER and VAUGHAN that were in St Francis Co, COOPERs in the area, mainly Monroe County Brinkley township, and MUNNS in the area of any of the above counties. Several ANDERS are buried in Posey Cemetery in Wheatley, St Francis Co.
I first rec'd help from a librarian at the Literacy Council / library ...either Forrest City or Folsum Memorial Library in Brinkley. I believe it was the library in Brinkley. Last month I was able to visit that Brinkley libary and made digital photographs of as many things as I could that relate to my lines. (Then went to the Monroe Co seat courthouse down in Clarendon where I found a ton of relevant records ..used digital camera to copy documents.)
Many of the cemeteries are listed in the various publications available in the Folsom Memorial Library in Brinkley ...published by the Tri-County Historical Society ...which I think inclues Phillips County where Helena is located.
Just so you know, there is an old Confederate Cemetery in Helena called Maple Hill I was told, (other cemeteries also in Helena) but the two MUNNS burials in Maple Hill do not seem to be related to my line. They are MUNNS that came from across the river in Tunica, MS.
The old Munn Cemetery shown in Fargo, right by Brinkley AR, is totally gone now ....only 1 headstone ever documented ..for a daughter of John V. MUNNS, who was a brother to the 3 MUNNS men who married sisters in my ANDREWS / ANDERS line...Andrew Jackson MUNNS, William MUNNS and Samuel Riley MUNNS ..sons of James MUNNS and wife Frances.
