Brenda, I am wondering if somehow we have a connection. My grandparents James and Etta Smith were married in 1897 at Cox's Bridge Public Road, St. Francis County, AR according to their Family Bible. James father was William Sterling Smith, who also had a farm around Forrest City, AR. He was born about 1836/1838 in TN, and his father was born in SC. Now I don't know if they were related to the Cox's or they were neighbors. Haven't been able to find where William is buried. He died about 1888/89. Found a Will dated January 1889. James is buried at Wyld's Family Cemetery. Found John Cox, 2 daughters and 1 son on 1910 St Francis County Census, which were four farms down from James Smith.
