I am looking for information regarding Private James Farley of Company E of the 4th Missouri Cavalry, CSA. He is listed as having deserted his unit on 10 July 1863. He was recruited in Randolph County, Arkansas, on 13 December 1862, but was not necessarily from Randolph County. He was captured in Phelps County, Missouri, on 10 Aug 1863 and sent to Myrtle Street Prison in St. Louis, Missouri. I am interested specifically in what happened to those who deserted with Pvt. Farley after 10 July 1863, etc.
