Hello. Richard gave you some excellent information.
However, if you wish to check out this site, I would suggest you do it. The Arkansas Civil War site is ran by Jim Martin and there are some folks who know a lot about the Civil War that post there
quite often.
So try here for hopefully some additional information:

If your ancestor has connections back to Georgia, he may have been related to my great grandfather, Joe B. Adams whose mother was Mary Rodgers Adams.
