I am researching my family from Prairie County,Ark.Nancy Elder married William Taylor Scallorn in Tenn. They were living in Prairie County when they met in 1870.They went to Tenn. where his family lived and were married there.They may have lived there for a short time and moved to Johnson County around the 1880's.Nancy and William adopted her brothers son who was about 6mo. of age.The baby's name was James B. Elder and his father was Dollie Bowman Elder.After her father,Isaac, died in Madison County they moved back to Prairie County.They lived there from about1890-1920.If you have any information on these family names please contact me.Thank you very much.
