Seeking information on ancestors in Prairie County Arkansas
1870 to 1930.
My G grandmother Maggie Jane Adams born in Illinois 1861 came to area 1870's teaching at a Native American School.
She first lived in Big Rock Twnshp ( now pulaksi co) later married Patrick J Kennedy settling in ROCKROE Bayou-- ULM- Roe Devalls bluff area. Their son Dewy married katherine Jane "Katie" Fuller from Rockroe Twnship daughter of Charles Ellsworth Fuller and Martha Ann "Mattie" Landon.
P.J. kennedy ist came to area living with Louis H and Cecila Williams, reportedly a large farm owner.
It seems FULLERS had been there since the time it was used as a staging area during Indian removals. Apparently they stayed.
I have some relatives believed still in area as well as several buried in area.
In early 1930 my father CD attended Idlewild school.
