My great grandfather was Henry Downs of Stuttgart. He married 2nd Florence Mount (Fullenwider) and they had 5 children in Stuttgart: Gerada, Dewey, Theodosia, Nada,and Alice. Henry was a Mason and a member of the local lodge. He died in Stuttgart in the erly 1900s (around 1910) of malaria. He was a barber and owned a house in Stuttgart.
His widow place the children in the Masonic Home at Batesville, as she was not able to provide for them. She was Catholic and is buried in Ft. Smith. My brick wall is this couple, Henry and Florence. We believe they were from IN or IL, but have no proof. Both were widowed. Henry had one daughter of his first marriage, Ople Downs Suver. Any help would be appreciated.
