Thank you, Lina.
I think you're right that C. D. Robinson in the 1880 Cenus is Clemmie. The 1870 Census doesn't give the relationship of individuals to the head of household as in later censuses. It could very well be that Clemmie is the older Andrew J. White's (b. 1837 TN) sister or sister-in-law.If Clemmie is the mother of my Andrew J. White (1871 MS-1949 AR), as later census records say, I wonder why he isn't living with her in 1880?Maybe he was born before she was married and she named him after her brother/brother-in-law?Also, he was born in MS, not AR.This is all very strange.
The earliest record I have found for Andrew was a marriage record in Yell Co. Marriages, Vol. 2:
"A. J. White, 22, to Mollie Hogins, 20, Pope Co., Jan 26 1890 by C. L. Kirksey. M. G. F-438."
Mollie (Mary Rebecca) was the oldest daughter of Reese B. Hogins who was also a sheriff in Pope Co.I have a lot of information on my Hogins line, but I'm stumped on this White line.Mollie's mother was Sarah Josephine White, the daughter of Robert White and Harriett Tucker who also came from TN.Maybe they're connected to the older Andrew J. White somehow since they all came from TN?
Do you have any suggestions for me?Thank you so much.
