Charlie Ulysses Webb was born August 1, 1884, at Vandervoort, Arkansas, in Polk County, according to his obituary.He was 83 when he passed away on March 25, 1968.
When he died, only Lee Webb of Pawhuska, Ok.,was left of the sons of James Warren Webb and Sarah Cecil.However, five sisters were still living.They were Lydia Davidson of Cove, Eva Kerr of DeQueen, Ark., Odie Williams of Atascadero, Ca., Irene Morgan of Ardmore, Ok., and Bessie Williams of Sprinfield, Oregon.
It was Charlie Webb who found his long lost sister Mary at Rosedale on the Mississippi River and brought her and her family back to Polk County, Arkansas.
Charlie married Willie Mae Stephenson in 1923.Their son Ulysses T. Webb died in Europe in World War II.Their son J.W. Webb raised his family a few miles west of Hatton, Ark.Daughter Rosa Lee Stephenson lived at Philomoth, Oregon.Stepdaughter Ethel Lalley lived at Independence, Mo.
Charlie Webb's grandfather was John B. Webb, who came to Yell County, Arkansas, from Attala County, Miss., by the 1870 census.John B. Webb's father was Micajah Webb, son of Charles Webb of Anderson, South Carolina.
