I am seeking the father of my grt gf Wm I Cogburn, son of Luiza/Louisa White and Unknown Cogburn...just this week it has been suggested his name is Thomas. Luisa was born 1854 in TX or GA; Wm was born April 1872 Arkansas; was in Howard Co with mother and step father Adam Whisenhunt 1880 but do not know if he was born there. Wm's father reportedly died before he was born, placing his death between July 1871 & April 1872. I cannot find Louisa and husband 1870 nor her with her parents. Adam cannot be found in 1870 census either. His father Henry died in Pike Co 1875 and he was listed in the Pike census 1870. My thoughts are possibly if I find Adam around that time there is a good chance Louisa & family were in that area as well. Does anyone have info on this Whisenhunt family that might be helpful or of course better yet info on Cogburn line who may have been in Pike Co around this era? I've about exhausted leads.
