Ann, Just saw your message and wanted to "speak" with you regarding John and Lydia Vancil. I am interested in them as Lydia was the daughter of my 3rd great grandparents, George & Susannah Donner. I would like to know more about Lydia and John - especially just where & when they died. In the Lowdermilk book she says John died while visiting a daughter in St. Louis and is buried in the Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis. She also states Lydia died while visiting her daughter in Idaho. In neither case does Mrs. Lowdermilk give dates. Bellefontaine will not look for records unless you have a date.
