Dear Olwyn,
Jewel Julius "J.J." Brewer, my grandfather, was born December 7, 1906. He died in August, 1994, and is buried at the cemetery in Keota, Oklahoma, next to his wife of over fifty years, Fairy Holliday, who was raised on the farm adjacent to Jack and Polly Brewer's farm, halfway between Pine Ridge and Oden. Henry Louis "Jack" Brewer died February 28, 1943. His wife, Mary Catherine "Polly" Willhite died January 2, 1946. Their daughter, Nannie, died April 6, 1931. Her brother Bert died Sept 21, 1956. Her sister Inez died August 14, 1971. Those dates of death were in my grandparents' address book. Aunt Beulah died recently--either last year or the year before.
Jack and Polly (IF I had the correct Henry L. Brewer) had land in Twnshp 2-S, Range 26-W Meridian 5, in Montgomery County, Ar. It was issued to him April 25, 1898. Could you tell me if this would put it on the highway halfway between Pine Ridge and Oden?
I can get more infomation. I have not exhausted my resources. I have only begun the search. Thanks for the reply. If you want to contact me directly, click on my name, and it will give you my e-mail address.
I don't know where Jack and Polly's parents lived. Your information is some of the first I have about them. Thanks!
