I am looking for information on an Ovia Reed, born 1909 in Montgomery County. She is listed in the household of Henry J. Reed and Quillie York Reed in the 1920 census in Montgomery County, Polk township. Jefferson as he was called, moved his family to Lee Couty, AR where they are listed in the 1930 census but Ovia is not listed. By this time she has probably married and is settled somewhere in Montgomery County. Ovia died around 1942-43. She was the half-sister of Donia Lee Handley and may have had a daughter named Dorthy who married an Ed Clayton. Pictures from my mother's picture box indicate that Dorthy Clayton was a granddaughter of Jefferson and Quille Reed. Other children in the Reed family were, Elzie,Monroe, (listed Rolando)and Hearle not listed. Quillie was first married to Henry C. Handley of Star of the West, Pike County, AR and was the daughter of Taylor Zachary York of Pike County. Jefferson moved to Osceola, AR and died in the early 1940's. I do not know where he is buried. Please contact me if any of this information connects with your family history.
