I am not related to the family, but checked out the census records, etc, which you might already have. But did find on Ancestry family Trees the following, which might be new.

Submitter, owner (peacekpr)" Hugh Madison Maloy b abt 1809 AL, died 8 Dec 1868 Pacific Railroad Hospital, St. Louis MO. Married #1 1834 AL, Delpha Stanphil; married #2 1849 AR Elizabeth Cooper; Son of John Maloy b 1770 Scotland, died 1820 AL (1790 & 1800 Robeson Co. NC) Grandson of Angus Maloy, b 1745 Jura Argyll Scot., died 1840 Covington Montgomery Co. AL, his ch were; Barbara 1768-1821; Daniel 1769- ; & John 1770-1820."

It appears Elizabeth Cooper was the daughter of Benson and Delphy Cooper, 1850 & 1860 census
