I know exactly where Wheatley AR is located, up the road from Brinkley. Wheatley is where some of my ANDREWS / ANDERS line settled. William Jeptha ANDERS Sr, who descends from William A. ANDREWS a brother to my gg grandmother Parthenia ANDREWS b 1835 Wilkes Co GA.

There are VAUGHN and BUTLER marriages and burials in Posey Cemetery as I recall in those lines, and I have living ANDERS on William Jeptha ANDERS Jr's line in Little Rock AR that I found last year ..they had no idea of their family history. I talked to the wife who's spouse had just died a month before I tracked them down ...but they have grown sons (one named Patrick ANDERS) to carry on the line, and grandchildren. I was hoping to hear from the daughter in law, but so far have not and need to follow up.

Re your LAWSON, I'd be willing to bet there is some connection ...we'll just have to try to find it. From what I was told abou the LAWSONs there, it was a crazy mixed up family to track ...marriages, deaths, remarriages, many kids in households that don't make a lot of sense because of all the names, and nothing very consistent. And I think a grandmother head of the house on one census. That data must be on my Desktop ..not on this laptop. I'll have to search my files.

Are you aware of any COOPER connection / marriages?

My COOPER line that came to St Francis County before 1850 had a brother Dillard COOPER that first went to Alabama, Pike County, married Lucinda / Lucy FONDERIN / FONDREN. He then joined the Alabama Red Rovers and went to TX to help the Texians fight the Mexicans. Got captured at Goliad, but was 1 of 4 who escaped. He returned for Lucinda and his young son, then went back to TX to live. Had 2 other marriages. He is uncle to my gg grandfather Dillard L. COOPER b 1838 Spartanburg, Thickety, South Carolina.
