Newell DNA Progress
Posted by: James T. Newell (ID *****1549) Date: June 28, 2013 at 11:23:36

James Newell c1795 NC, Ala Newell c1827 NC, Thomas Newell c1817 NC, and Joshua Newell c1790 NC have now been connected via DNA testing. Descendants of these pioneers who currently live in GA, FL, AL, and MS have tested and match. These pioneers have a common ancestor based on the DNA results but we just donít know who he is and when he came to America.
The Newell DNA Project needs more descendants who can trace their ancestry to NC in the 1700s to be tested and join this exciting project. We are still seeking that one who came across the pond to settle in America and eventually into NC.
If you have documentation related to any of these individuals, we urge you to share. If you can trace your ancestry to other individuals who lived in NC in the late 1700s, we urge you to share. Thanks, Jim Newell.
