Bell, Ritchey, Gillespie, Herring connection

I have 2 ggrandfathers named Constantine Gillespie Herring and Charles Bell Herring. Both born in Arkansas in the 1850's. Their parents were William C Herring and Margaret Caroline Ritchey. Down the road in the 1860 (I believe) Hempstead, AR census lives Charles Constantine Gillespie and his son, Charles Bell Gillespie. I do not believe it is a coincidence that these 2 families named their children the same names. Does anyone know of the connection between these families?
