Thanks, Ann, I appreciate any help. I had about figured the railroad was the cause of Ussery being no more. The only date I have for anything about Ussery is 1910 and I find that Glenwood was established in 1909. I am not giving up on this new piece of the puzzle just yet. I have found a couple that tell me their great great grandfather Ussery was the man behind the town. At this time they don't have a document to show anything but we are going to work together and see if our lines touch and how far back. I can prove to my great grand grandfather and so can they so we may come up with something. they are going to send me info to check against some I have. Its not importannt but fun. I never leave stone uncovered.
I have the bulletins put out by Mr. Usry from Waco, Texas in the 1970's on all spellings of Ussery, Usry ect. He searched court house records everywhere he thought Usserys went to or through. He put out 170 copies with several pages each time. They are a wealth of info so that is my next place to look. I have already found this couples' name's mentioned in some of them. There were to many Usserys in Arkansas for there not to be a connection somewhere.
I will keep you posted and if you need any help I will be happy to look and see what i have. thanks again, June Ussery Bills
