I am interested in Stephen B Allen and his connection to Sarah Carter listed in same household in 1870 Census, Arkansas, Jackson County, Village Township--because I'm looking for a Sarah Allen b in TN who married a Carter. So, if she is an Allen they (she and Stephen) must be connected in some way. Anyone know who Stephen's parents or siblings were?
I'm guessing it is the same family in 1860 Texas, Leon County, Leon Division, family 102. Right next door is S (Stephen?) Allen living and farming with Bull family 101.
I believe I have Sarah in 1850 AL Franklin Dist 5 with a husband, Wm B Carter & children.
I ran into a Josephine somewhere here. Let me look back and see if I can shed any more light there.
