GREENCASTLE. Ind.-- Mrs. Elizabeth M. Barber, 84, of Greencastle, Indiana, formerly of McCaskill, died Thursday, September 15, 2011, at her home.
Mrs. Barber was born February 12, 1927, to Alfred Povall and Mary Alice Jackson Povall. She was a homemaker and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin Barber; son, William A. Barber; and grandson, Thomas Thad Downen.
She is survived by one son, David Barber and Brenda, of McCaskill; two daughters, Yvonne Downen, of Greencastle, Ind., and Lisa Chote and Danny, of Arkadelphia; two sisters, Pat Ryan, of Lafayette, Ind., and Sheila Kimmey, of Morton, Ill.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service is set for 11 a.m. Monday, September 19, at Friendship Cemetery in McCaskill, with Dr. Gene Ross officiating.
Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery, in McCaskill, under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
Family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, September 18, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
