Hi,
I don't have the answer to your Robert S. Farrar question, but I consider the fact that he is living in the Worthen household as more than coincidence. Elizabeth Worthen is Jane Farrar Oliphant's older sister. Jane Farrar Oliphant married Joseph East in 1844 in Marshall Co MS. Elizabeth Oliphant married John C. Worthen on Dec 1, 1840 in Marshall Co MS. Jane was born June 10, 1827. Elizabeth was born Feb 28, 1823. There were Farrar's in SC from before the revolution. Supposedly a Farrar married an Oliphant, but it may have been a Farrow/Waters connection that actually connected the families. There are some researchers that believe Farrar/Farrow/Farr/Farrer and other spellings are all one family. I have worked on the family for many years and I do not expect it to be resolved.
Charles
