Thank you for the information. I wonder if anyone has anything on the Lewis family. I heard a lot of names of Lewis kin when I was growing up, but can't make the association as to who was who - who Rebecca Lewis's parents and siblings were, and where they came from and where they went. In the 1860 census of Clay Twp, Bradley Co., AR I show Thomas C. Martindale and Jerusha with 7 children, including James Martindale, husband of both Caroline Roark and Rebecca Lewis, who he married in Union County. Does anyone have any history on the lives of these people or anything on their ancestors? Does anyone know who Jerusha, wife of Thomas C. was? James and Caroline also had a Jerusha.
