Parkers of Madison County, Arkansas

I am interested in James Ervin Parker, born in Madison County, Arkansas, who may be my great grandfather. The story is as follows. My grandfather was Thomas Rex Parker, born 12 Dec 1891 in Ft. Smith Ark to Julia Francis (Rose) Parker (altho I'm not sure she married Rex's father). On Rex's death certificate it names James Ernest Parker as his Dad, of whom I can find no record. However I have found James Ervin Parker, born in the same year (1870) as Julia, and living in the same community as the Rose family in Madison County, which makes me suspect that the death certificate had James's middle name misspelled. I recently visited the gravesite of James Ernest Parker and his wife, Mary Long Parker at the Tecumseh Mission Cemetery in Tecumseh, OK. I believe this to be the same James Ervin Parker. I am trying to determine if he could have been Rex's Dad in 1891, prior to marrying Mary Long and raising a family in Oklahoma. I am searching for any of his living descendents who I might talk to. Any help would be appreciated.
