Hi Sue!! You have them in the 1870 and the 1880 census!! But, I have the same problem; where on earth did they go? I cannot find them in 1900, so I thought if I could track any of the girl marriages, I could find where Thomas went to after 1880. Thomas had a brother named Samuel B. Glass(my gggrandfather), and I found him last in 1890 in Weakley Co., TN and in a lawsuit from 1897 that names him as a non-resident of TN, so I have a hunch he went to where his brother Thomas was. They were close in age and fought together in the same unit through the civil war. Problem is I cannot find either, nor their wives in 1900!! Rosalee was born around 1868 Mary in 1870s Lurana in 1870s It's funny you mention Butler, MO. Samuel and Thomas's father Thompson Glass b. 1802 migrated from NC to Graves Co. KY. Sam and Thomas born in TN along the way, but I cannot find Thompson after 1860; however, once I found a U.S. land grant for a Thompson Glass in Butler, MO!! It has to be the same guy. I do not run into many Thompson Glasses. What do you think?? I have to track it down again, for I do not remember what year it was from. I have never came across George W. Glass from IL. Most of my Glass people started from Johnson Glass in NC 1810 census, Thompson migrating to TN and KY. Although, if you look at the 1810 census for Johnson, there are two boys under 10. One is Thompson b. 1802, and maybe the other is George b. 1805??? Hmmmm... What do you think??? Notify Administrator about this message?
