Bakers and Stokes in Arkansas

My Bakers
James L. Baker, wife Mary A, son Jesse and Warren (my grandfather) lived in Cross County Arkansas, Smith Township in 1880. James was 38, Mary, his wife 34. James was born in Ala, His father NC, Mary was born in TN.
Mary was a Stokes. She had two brothers living in the same part of Arkansas that they lived in. Joel Stokes, Wife Catharine, also B. Stokes, Mattie his wife, children Mary Etta Joel J. James, Mary and Warren, lived in Craighead County in the 1900. James L. was killed in Jonesboro Ark in early 1900's My grandfather Warren told my brother, sister and me as children that his family desended from the Mayflower. Does anyone have a Baker that connects with the Mayflower?
