My grandfather was James Dempsey Jordan b: 1868 in Coal Hill, AR & m: Orah Pearl Miller. His father was William Dempsey Jordan b: before 1840 in Elizabeth, AR (which no longer exists) & m: Polly Ann Bolandger & second wife of Dephtha Parlee. William reportedly fathered 18 children, however I only have the name of James (who was supposed to be the youngest). I have been told that most of the Jordans migrated to Oklahoma and settled around Muskogee. My father, Clarence C. Jordan, Sr. was born in Checotoh, OK in 1907 (which is just a few miles from Muskogee). I do not have any of the names of William's siblings. I too would appreciate any information concerning the Jordan family.
