My ggrandparents on my father's side were Clara Skaggs and Lon Rush. Clara was born on July 22, 1886 to Winfield Pierce Skaggs and Maggie Bell. Clara was born in Kenutcky. She died in July 1985 in Arizona, I belive, but her body was sent back to Kennett, Missouri where Lon is buried. Lon was born in Alabama on August 24, 1883, and died on May 1, 1969.
Winfield Skaggs parents were William T. Skaggs and Elizabeth ??? Both were said to have been born in Kentucky.
**Children of William and Elizbeth that I have are: Winfield Pierce Skaggs, Mary S W Skaggs, and John W J Skaggs.
**Children of Winfield and Maggie were: Clara Skaggs, Dee Skaggs, Everret Skaggs, Annie Skaggs Harrell, Raymond Skaggs,
Franklin Skaggs, and Velma Skaggs
**Children of Clara and Lon are: Sanford Skaggs (Clara was married briefly to another man before she married Lon, and had a son that took her family's name.) Lorene Rush?, Stella Rush Wilson, Paul Rush, Pete Rush, Barbara Naomi Rush Brunelli and Charlie Rush. The children were born in Cherry Valley or Childers, Arkansas (North east corner of Arkansas).
