My ggrandmother was Mary Jacklin Pack, b. 1864 ,daughter of Franklin T. Pack and Lovey Byrd. Mary Pack's husband James Bennett was my ggrandfather. My Adams family always called James - Tony Bennett, so I know not what his true name was.I understand Mary and James had several children, one of which was my grandmother Maude Elizabeth Bennett b. 1881, who married Lon Adams. Other children were, Ella Bennett, Fred Bennett, Charley Bennett and Lovie Bennett. I've seen some information on the Packs, but none on the Bennett line. After Mary Jacklin married James Bennett I come to a dead end in my research. I was told they were married in Hardin Co,Tenn and moved to Lake City Arkansas. Then to GA and on to TX. I know my Adams relatives were all born in Lake City. My info on my Adams line in Arkansas starts at 1851 with Amon Davis Adams. But I cannot find my Bennett line in any census. Also in my lineage is Amanda Underwood, Millard Williams, John East, James (Akf)Hector, Daugherty, Brown, Cone, Flynn, Sutfin, Gatlin etc.If anyone has anything at all on the James Robert Bennett family, I would apprectiate it. Also I have a couple of old photos passed down thru the family someone may be interested in a copy. One is of two ladies sitting together, one of which is Mary J. Bennett and the other is Mattie Boozer. I also have one of 4 persons, one of which is James Cook, husband of Lovey Bennett , one is a Zack Crumbie , Ella Bennett Crumbie and child is Beluah.
