Sorry, I didn't have my file in front of me. My Joseph Case was a child, b. 1878 in Marion Co AR. He died in a housefire in Marion Co in 1881 when he was 3. The parents were Charles Case and Ann Duke. I descend from their daughter, Lucy who was born in Marion Co in 1876. I have been unable to locate my Charles Case before that. I thought perhaps he may have been related to your Joseph. I suspect Charles' father may have been named Joseph since he named his son Joseph. All I know about Charles Case is that he was born in England and came to America with his brother (name unknown) about the time of the Civil War. Ann's father, Thomas Duke, was a tobacco farmer from North Carolina who came to Taney Co MO ca. 1840. As late as the 1950's to 1960's, there was still at least one Case relative in Harrison, Boone Co AR (the next county over from Marion). He was a photographer and owned a studio there. Lucy said he was her cousin so her father, Charles, must have had a brother or cousins in the area. So, that's my brick wall with my Case family. I assume Charles Case died and is buried in Marion Co AR, but have no idea when or where. Thanks anyway..
