Jimmy,

The land that the Burney family homesteaded is quite a distance from your land.

Your land was homesteaded in March 1907 by Susan E. Eoff, formerly Susan E. Bunyard (that's how it's stated on the patent papers).

Susan E. Bunyard, born 1857, was married to James M. Bunyard, born 1837. James M. Bunyard was a Confederate Veteran, from Co. E, 12th Missouri Infantry, and he died between 1900-1904.

Susan E. then married a widower named William Franklin Eoff on 20 December 1904. They lived on the land until between 1920-1930. In the 1930 census they are found living in Marble, Arkansas.
