Hello,
I volunteer with The Madison County Genealogical & Historical Society in Huntsville, Arkansas. Earlier this year we published a new book titled "Pre-1920 Obituaries of Madison County Residents", which contains ALL available obituaries from newspapers prior to 1920. This book is 319 pages long, containing a lot of new information. However, a lot of the newspapers are missing in this time period.

I am assuming that the Joseph M. Herriman that you are asking about is the one buried in Henderson Creek Cemetery near Aurora, Arkansas, and his tombstone shows he died 2 September 1913. I checked our list of available newspapers and find that there is only one newspaper available for September 1913, and it is dated 19 Sept. So I'm sorry to say that there is no obituary available for Joseph M. Herriman.

Please let me know if there's anything else that I can help you with. Also I invite you to check out the Society's website at www.mcghs.info
