Dear David,
I saw your posting regarding Aurora Cem.

Have you tried the Find a Grave website on the internet? I know that at least 5 Ledbetters are listed in Aurora Cem on that site. The site is only as good as the person doing the posting but sometimes does have photos of the gravestones. Only burials that individuals have taken the time to list are on this site.

If you go to ARGenweb, you will also find a site that is posting tombstone photos - again only what they want to list

Backtracker magazine listed Aurora Cem in its v. 15 # 4 Nov 1986 pgs. 21-6 (Part 1) and completed it in 1987 vol. 16 feb. 1987 p. 11-15 (Part 2, conclusion). According to this both Lee and Sarah are buried in Aurora Cem.

I am interested in any information you have about Lee and William being killed by bushwackers in 1863. Was Lee the father and William the son? Lee's tombstone in the Aurora Cem was only partially readable when I visited in 1982.

I hope these hints will help you.

A. Futch
