McElhaney burials

You asked where John & Margaret (Bowen) McElhaney were buried; and also the burial place of their son, William McElhaney and his wife, Elizabeth (Ledbetter) McElhaney.

Both of these families lived near Aurora, Arkansas, which is in the center of Madison County. None of the 4 people that you asked about have tombstones with their names on them. However, most people believe that they are buried in either Aurora Cemetery or McBroom Cemetery, both of which are within a couple of miles of Aurora. The Aurora Cemetery used to be called Bowen Cemetery.

All of these people have family members in these two cemeteries and since they lived in this area at the time of their deaths, it is probable that they were buried in one of the two mentioned above.

Sorry I can't give you something more definite.
