Thanks, Joy, for your helpful reply. I have also heard some stories regarding the kinship of the two Roberts. Even an Uncle who is still living stated he saw his grandpa Daniel Weaver Lee as a small boy, with his father, Dan'l Webster standing, and the Gen. sitting on a 'spotted horse.' When an old man, Daniel Weaver's house burned and according to my Uncle, the picture being of the tin-type, curled up from the heat and was destroyed! Wouldn't it be nice to have that now?

Have you any info about where in Virginia our Robert was born? I sorta assumed that it was down near N. Car. as Lucy was allegedly born there. I have not found anyone who knows who his parents were. I'm glad to know about the graves. Do you know if he received any land grants? Thanks, david
