There is a Lonoke Co. marriage record for J. E. Younghans to W. H. Nichols, Dec 12, 1876. A son, Edward J. Nichols was born from this marriage, Dec 1, 1878. Joanna was born Feb 27, 1852 TX.
An 1880 Lonoke census entry reads Joe Nichols, widow, male, age 32, TX, keeping house, father's birthplace unknown, and mother's birthplace, AL. In the household is Ed Nichols, age 11M, born AR, father born AR, and mother born TX. These data match quite well with Joanna (Younghanse) Nichols and son, Edward J. Nichols. I believe the "male" notation is an error and that this is likely Joanna, although the age implies a birth abt. 1848 which would appear to be incorrect.
In 1900, Joanna and Edward are living with her twin brother, James M. Younghanse in Panola Co., MS. I am seeking any information on Joanna, Edward, or any other descendants of this family. Thanks.
