Okay, that works with the one scrap of information I've uncovered since posting this -- I got hold of Seth Morris's SSN application, which listed William Morris and Elizabeth Ratliffe as the parents. But I'm so excited to find someone who knows about this family -- as I mentioned before, my greatgrandfather BJ Morris has been a real brick wall -- I couldn't find out anything about his parents.

Thanks so much for replying -- I look forward to continuing to correspond with you -- I'd love to see other information you have about the family. :)
