The story is, my great aunt was a fruit farmer in Howell County MO in the 1910's but was a bit looney. When I found her in the Lawrence County census I wondered why she would be in a poor farm as one could expect she would have ample resources. I suspect her dementia continued to get worse as the years went by and she had no family nearby to take care of her, thus ending up there.
I still don't know why she was in Arkansas, unless the poor farms in MO were all full or something. I understand the records at the poor farms were not very comprehensive so I don't expect to learn anything further, but I certainly do appreciate your input.
