Thank you for writing. I really am grasping with the Eldridge name being a possible kin but I have been stuck on my William Watson for some time now. All I really have is the following from William's will which was in Randolph County (earlier Lawrence county)
James Isaacs was administrator and securers were Isaac J. Warren, Ransom Eldridge and Daniel Hanover. William died in 1847.
I was hoping this would some help. I also have a few Eldridges buying things at an auction they had to settle his affairs. Does Ransom ring a bell?
On a completely other line...
I am looking for the name Wiggs in Swifton if you should run into that name. Lillian Wiggs, in the 1904 Sharp County Records book reported that she died in Newport as they were currently living in Swifton township in Jackson County, AR. Her maiden name was Gay and her husband was named Thomas Henry Wiggs. He was a preacher. Just thought I would add this...never can tell.
