I am searching for information about Isaac Robinson who was appointed a justice of the peace in Independence County for Black River Township along with John C. Saylors and Morgan Magness. He married William Wilson and Eleanor Vickers Feb. 24, 1831...William Carter and Amanda Sturdivant August 28, 1841. He is listed in the 1850 census age 54, a farmer born in Virginia with his wife Kiziah age 51 born GA and son William L. age 13 born AR. Who was Isaac Robinson and how did he get elected to be a justice of the peace? I'm wondering if he is related to my great-great-great-grandmother Rebecca Robinson who married Joseph Drennen in Independence County August 2, 1832.
