I am also seeking information about the Morris' of Independence County, AR. I am aware that William T. and Sarah Goad Morris moved their family to the Black River Township near the end of the 1860's. William T. Morris was born in 1829 in Western Kentucky. I am unsure of the reason they moved to Arkansas and how long they stayed. They are listed in the 1870 Black River Census. I am unable to find any additional information concerning William T. Morris. I wonder if it is possible that William and Hiram are related. Both were born in Kentucky around the same time and both lived in Independence County, Arkansas around the same time. I would appreciate any additional information you may have concerning this. I know that one child was born to William and Sarah while in Arkansas, Jasper Morris. Thanks for your help.
