I know this is a longshot, but....I have a Culvin Ford b. Jun 28, 1777 married a Patsy Parks. What we know is Culvin died in LA abt. 1812. We know he was married and had children. We know his father in law was a Samuel Parks. Other than that, we know nothing on who his children were, how many there were, or were they lived after abt. 1818 when Culvin's widow and children were living in LA. Now for the big question, do you know if any of your male direct line Fords have taken a DNA test or would be willing to do a DNA test? I can give you all kind of information on Culvin's parents, siblings, nieces, nephews etc. Culvin Ford's parents were William Ford b. ca. 1747 VA, lived in several counties of VA lastly in Amelia Co., VA before moving to Spartanburg SC. Culvin's mother was Louisa Johnson. Culvin's siblings were: Mary Molley" Ford m. Edward Stewart Manley Ford (Mine) m. Mary "Polly" Bishop Elizabeth Ford m. 1 Alexander Ray, m 2 Armistead Shumate); William Ford, Jr. m. Elizabeth Johnson; Shadrack Ford (moved to LA with Culvin, allegedly drowned in the Miss. River shortly after they moved to LA in abt. 1800, may have married a Mayfield) Catherine Murrah Ford m. Isaiah Bright Nancy Ann Ford m. 1. Merriman Burns, m.2 Henry Wood, Sr. half siblings were: Levica Ford m. Equilla Burns Mary Levenia Ford m. James Burns, Jr. Louisa "Tressa" Ford m. Amos Farmer Lucinda Ella Ford m. William Michael Smith Lewis Washington Ford. m. Mary "Polly" Smith Margaret "Peggy" Ford m. Aubry Pennington Martha Ford m. Manley Madison Wood As we know so many times, our ancestors named their children after their siblings or parents. If any of these names are familiar to you, pleast let me know. I would love to put Culvin Ford's descendants with their Ford family. Notify Administrator about this message?
