My suspicion was correct. He was John Spencer McCrary, a son of Matthew and Nancy McCrary of Laurens County, S.C. He was married to Martha Jacks, also from Laurens County, who is buried in the County Line Cemetery. I don't know when they went to Arkansas, but they buried two young children in Laurens County, the last in 1857.
