In the 1850 Hot Spring Co Ar Census I found a Sam floyd age 46 born SC with Wife Kiziah, sons Sam R, James S, Alexander R and daughter Martha. Also in the house is Martha Vaffola (Waffola? name unclear) age 45 born in Mississippi and son John born in AR. Also in the house is William Johnson a laborer age 17 born Virginia. (the Kiziah is Kisiah Lunsford Parish md to Samuel Floyd 30 Sept 1848 in Hot Spring Co AR) I have found Samuel S Floyd in the 1840 Hot Spring Co AR census. I have found a marriage record in Hot Spring Co Ar for Samuel S Floyd to Nancy Jackson Feb 1831. I also found marriage records for a Samuel Floyd to Cynthia Ann Tyler 3 Aug 1848 Samuel Floyd is in the early tax records fo Hot Spring Co AR in 1832,1833 and 1835. A Samuel Floyd marries Abigail Nix in Hot Spring Co on 5 July 1855. I have found Kisiah Floyd and a son George in the 1860 Sebastian Co AR census. If the Samuel who married the Nix was the elder Samuel then he must have divorced Kisiah. I find no record of the Samuel S after the 1855 marriage record to Nix. In the 1860 Falls Co Texas census we find the three children from the 1850 census with a B Talley family: B Talley 40 m farming b TN H Talley 24 f b AR B Talley 10 m b AR JA Talley 2 m b Ar M A Floyd age 13 f b AR Samuel Floyd age 22 b AR common laborer Alex Floyd age 17 b AR common laborer I found a marriage record for Bannister Talley and Hester Elizabeth Wells in Hot Spring Co AR in 1857. Samuel R Floyd married Eliza Jane Selph in Hot Spring Co AR in 1858 (by the 1860 census Jane Floyed is living with her father and other family in Sevier co AR) 15 Nov 1860 a Saml R Floyd marries Francis Ellis in Falls Co TX 27 Aug 1862 Samuel R Floyd marries Neomia Burgess in Robertson Co TX There is a possibility that Samuel R Floyd is Samuel Rayburn Floyd my great grandfather who settled by 1868 in Ouachita Co AR Does anyone have other information on either of the Samuel Floyds or anyone else listed above? Does anyone know the connection between the Bannister/Wells families and the Floyd Family. Thanks in advance. Notify Administrator about this message?
