I would to make contact with anybody associated with the following family. I am trying to determine if Joseph P. Simpson is a long lost relation. Family legend says we had a Joe Simpson who either ran away from home or was given away to other relatives after his mother remarried. If anyone can provide information as to who the parents of this Joseph P. Simpson was I would be most grateful. Since the first census record I can find for him is in 1870 at age 16 finding him in 1860 would probably prove who his parents were. According to the 1900 census Joseph was born in June 1853 in Georgia. I believe he died on either August 26, 1923 or August 26, 1928 in Los Angeles County, California. The death index is blurry. Also according to census records Joseph and Harriet had two sons, Frederick and Leonard. I am supplying all of the information I have acquired on him and his family. 1870 Cobb County, Georgia - Series M593 Roll 144 Page 296 -- apprentice tinner / in the household of James M. Thank you in advance for any assistance with this family. Notify Administrator about this message?
