I found a marriage record for C H HIX 1897 to Mira LAMB 13 Jan 1897. I found them in tbe 1920 census in Malvern, Hot Spring Co, ARKANSAS. He is listed as CARY H HIX. His birth is about right for Cary in my line. His parents birth place is off. The name is so unusual that It should be him. I failed to find him in the 1900 census
I also found a sightly younger JOE HIX in the same area in the 1920 census.
Questions:
Do the original documents still exist at the courthouse? Are they on films? IF so, does somebody know the film number(s)?
How about death certificates or wills? I'm looking for parentage to verify these are my lines.
Is there an index available?
Any help appreciated.
